Track review: Feels Like Love // Terror Bird

Terror Bird is the stage name of singer-songwriter Nikki Nevver. Nikki has gained exposure from reputable blogs such as the 405 and Hit the Floor. She has also been compared to the likes of Grimes and Kate Bush. She released her recent song ‘Feels Like Love’ last month.

The lo-fi production on the track is beautiful, with Nikki’s vocals swimming softly over the melancholic backdrop. The raw delivery works very well because it is very emotional. The listener can feel the sadness in the vocals, and furthermore the harmonies are achingly beautiful. The track is very haunting, and shows that Terror Bird is a force to be reckoned with.

Track review: Feel Better // SAHARAS

SAHARAS have created a reputation for creating delicious alluring hooks. The last track they released, ‘Shake My Fever’ showed potential with some stunning bass lines. Furthermore, the soundscapes in the track were ethereal and atmospheric. However, the band’s new song, ‘Feel Better’ takes things to another level.

The track features SAHARAS’ trademark synthesisers. They are used to great effect because when they kick in with the drums, it creates a memorable hook. The harmonies in the vocals are also beautiful, giving the track a relaxing feel. Towards the end, the Stone Roses-esque guitar displays the band’s varying influences. It’s a really beautiful track, showing off what SAHARAS are capable of, and why they’re ones to watch in the future.
