Hey Bulldog’s take on stoner rock has won them acclaim from both Steve Lamacq and John Kennedy. Their new track ‘California’ demonstrates an impeccable ear for melody and should improve their reputation. It starts off with a blistering drumbeat and then the bass that dominates the track enters. It’s heavy and distorted, with a hell of a lot of power and weight behind it.

‘California’ does not mess around, the verse and chorus are instantly captivating. The track is done and dusted in just over three minutes. It’s a song that is fun and uplifting, showing that Hey Bulldog really mean business.
